We are the data controller for this website under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you have a question about anything on this page, the email address above reaches us.

What this site is

stroetenga.nl is our company website. It presents what we build and how to reach us. There is no account, no login and no shop. The only place where you can enter anything about yourself is the contact form, and only if you choose to use it.

What our server records

Like practically every web server, ours writes a log entry each time a file is requested. Such an entry contains your IP address, the date and time, the page or file you requested, your browser's user agent string, and the page you arrived from.

We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure — diagnosing errors, spotting abuse and understanding load. We do not use them to build a profile of you and we do not combine them with any other data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website. The server and its logs are located in the Netherlands.

The contact form

If you fill in the contact form, the name, email address and message you type are sent to our own application server so that we can read them and reply. That is the only thing they are used for. We do not add them to a mailing list — we have no mailing list — and we do not pass them to anyone else.

We keep such a message for as long as the conversation it belongs to is relevant, and delete it afterwards. If you would rather not use the form, you can email us directly at info@stroetenga.nl; the result is the same.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and, where your message concerns a possible agreement, the steps taken at your request before entering into one.

Cookies and third parties

This site sets no tracking cookies

We run no analytics, no tracking pixels, no social media buttons and no embedded videos on this site, and we show no advertising on it.

Fonts loaded from Google

The page loads two typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser has to contact Google to fetch them, which means Google receives your IP address and the fact that this page was opened. Google states that Google Fonts sets no cookies and uses the request only to deliver the font. We rely on our legitimate interest in presenting the site as designed; if you would rather this did not happen, a browser extension that blocks third-party requests will prevent it, and the site remains readable.

A consent cookie you may already carry

We run Google AdSense on a separate part of our domain — the games at games.stroetenga.nl. The consent platform used there stores your advertising choice in a cookie registered on stroetenga.nl as a whole, so it can travel with you to this page. Nothing on this page reads it and no advertising is shown here. If you want to see or change that choice, the privacy statement for the games explains the advertising side in full and carries a button that reopens the consent message.

What we do not do

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights.

Access
Ask what personal data we hold about you.
Rectification
Have inaccurate data corrected.
Erasure
Ask us to delete your data.
Restriction
Ask us to limit how we use it.
Objection
Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Portability

Write to privacy@stroetenga.nl to exercise any of these. We answer within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the supervisory authority in your own country.

Changes to this statement

If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is how you tell.
